Halil Mutlu was born on July 14, 1973, in Kırcaali, Bulgaria. He is a Turkish weightlifter who began his career in Bulgaria before moving to Türkiye in 1989, where he has lived ever since. He broke many records during his career, and he is a three-time Olympic champion, five-time World champion, and nine-time European champion.
People called him 'Dynomo' because of his world records of over 20.
He ended his professional career in 2008 and now lives in Ankara.
